# Online bookings

> Share a booking link so customers can book an appointment themselves, into times you're actually free. Your services and hours also power your front desk.

Give customers a link where they can book an appointment themselves — a site visit, a consultation, a service call — at a time you're actually free. Bookings land on your schedule, and the customer becomes a contact and a lead.

The services and hours you set here are also what your [front desk](/front-desk) uses to say what you offer, when you're open, and to book appointments in a conversation.

## Set it up

Go to **Settings → Online bookings**. It has three tabs.

<Steps>
  <Step title="Services">
    Add what customers can book: **What can they book?**, **How long it takes**, a short description, and **Who can take it** — leave that blank and anyone free can.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Available times">
    Set the windows you take bookings in, for each day of the week. A day can have more than one window — mornings and evenings, say.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Your link">
    Choose **Your booking link** — for example `carpenco` — and switch on **Accept online bookings**. Set the **least notice** you need, how many days ahead people can **book up to**, and how often a slot starts (**slot every** so many minutes).
  </Step>
</Steps>

Your link is `https://app.taskezy.co/book/<your-link>`. Put it on your website, your Instagram bio or your WhatsApp profile. Switch **Accept online bookings** off and the page stops taking bookings.

## When a customer books

The customer picks a service and a free time, and gives their name, mobile number, and optionally their email and a note. Then:

* The booking gets a reference (`BK-2026-0102`) and appears on your **Schedule**, marked **Booked online**.
* The customer is saved as a [contact](/sales#contacts) — or matched to one you already have — and a lead is opened if they don't already have one.
* People on your team who look after bookings are notified.

## Your bookings

**Operations → Bookings** lists them under **Upcoming**, **Past** and **Cancelled**, with how many are coming up in the next 7 days and how many aren't assigned to anyone. Open one for the appointment, who booked, and their notes, with links to call or email them.

With Tia: *"any bookings tomorrow?"*, *"find Mrs Khan's booking"*, *"cancel BK-2026-0102"*.

## What's next

* [Front desk](/front-desk) — answer customers and book appointments in conversation.
* [Operations](/operations#schedule) — where bookings sit on your schedule.
