Connecting Zoho Books is optional. Taskezy works standalone for sales, finance, inventory, and operations — the workspace is the system of record by default. The Zoho integration is useful when an existing Zoho Books account is already in place and the customer wants expense entries to flow there automatically. Future releases will connect Zoho CRM and Zoho Inventory the same way.

What the connection does

When Zoho Books is connected, every confirmed expense entry in the workspace is pushed to Zoho Books via the official API. The push includes vendor, amount, VAT, project, account category, and any attached documents. Confirmation in Taskezy is the trigger — Tia never posts automatically. Reads also happen: Taskezy pulls the chart of accounts, customer and vendor records, and existing project list so Tia can match new entries to the right accounts and projects.

Step 1. Start the OAuth flow

Open Settings → Integrations → Accounting and select Zoho Books. Click Connect. The Zoho OAuth screen opens in a new tab. Sign in to the Zoho organisation that owns the Books account. Grant Taskezy access to the requested scopes: Books — Full access, Books.Contacts, Books.Settings. Click Accept. Taskezy reads the Zoho organisation list and asks which Books organisation to attach. Pick the right one if more than one is shown.

Step 2. Review the account mapping

After the first sync, Taskezy presents an Account mapping page showing how Taskezy categories map to Zoho ledger accounts. Defaults are pre-filled from common patterns; review and adjust before confirming. Mappings are stored per-workspace. They can be revised at any time from the same settings page, and they apply to future entries — past entries are not retroactively re-categorised.

Step 3. Confirm a test entry

Forward a real receipt to Tia on WhatsApp. Tia drafts the entry with the Zoho account already selected. Reply confirm. The entry posts to Zoho Books within a few seconds; the Zoho reference appears in the workspace activity log. Open Zoho Books to verify. The entry should appear under the mapped account with all fields populated.

Region and data centre

Zoho operates regional data centres (US, EU, IN, AU, JP, SA). Taskezy auto-detects which data centre the organisation lives in during the OAuth handshake and routes API calls accordingly. UK and CA data centres are on the roadmap and require a small configuration change — contact support if the organisation is on one of those.

Disconnecting

Open Settings → Integrations and click Disconnect next to Zoho Books. Taskezy revokes the OAuth grant immediately. Existing data in Zoho is unaffected; future workspace confirmations stop being pushed.
